Located near Tours in central France, the Céré-la-Ronde site is the most recent Storengy's underground natural gas storage site in an aquifer in France.

In the heart of a clearing near the ruins of the Aiguevives Abbey, the central station was designed to blend harmoniously with its surrounding environment. The landscaping blends with the neighbouring forest. The building walls have been painted in the same colour of Cher Valley stone and the roof has the colour of slates.

Over the past few years, the Céré-la-Ronde site has undergone a renovation and development programme. This site now uses new and more efficient compression technology thereby eliminating all greenhouse gas emissions and significantly reducing noise pollution.
