A responsible company, Storengy conducts its industrial activities while conserving biodiversity in order to minimise its impact on the environment. Storengy’s Environmental and Corporate Responsibility (ECR) policy is built around three key areas:
Thanks to its technological know-how, Storengy provides its customers with storage capacity in France, Germany and the U.K., while factoring in economic and ecological requirements. Storengy owns 1,200 hectares of land in France, and since 2010 – in line with ENGIE Group policy on ECR and biodiversity – it has been actively promoting biodiversity, namely by incorporating species preservation and gradually rolling out differentiated management of natural spaces at all of its storage plants.
Through regular activities, publications and various events, Storengy aims to strengthen its dialogue with stakeholders in order to boost its local acceptability and rooting. To do so, and with a view to surrounding itself with recognised experts, Storengy has signed a partnership with the National Natural History Museum to conduct a study regarding biodiversity at its storage facilities.
Storengy promotes gender equality, is committed to providing training for its employees, and supports and assists employees with disabilities and young graduate jobseekers. By setting up cooperation opportunities between its teams and proposing stimulating training programmes, Storengy is improving its employees’ quality of life at work.
Similarly to the ENGIE Group as a whole, Storengy’s strategic challenge is to continue to develop its business both sustainably and responsibly in France, Europe and at an international level. The company is managed with due regard to safety and ethics, eco-friendliness, and generally speaking, with the creation of value for our stakeholders in mind.
Our 2014 yearly report on Environmental and Corporate Responsibility is available online and presents our commitments and achievements aimed it sustainable development and responsible growth.
