This digital solution is a means to help local decision makers discover the multiple possibilities that renewable gases and geothermal energy offer to reduce their carbon footprint.
Storengy Hub is part of an educational approach benefitting from existing levers to reduce direct emissions linked to the industry, agriculture, mobility and building heating. Thus, this practical tool enables the concerned stakeholders to understand how they can take part in the objectives set by the Paris Agreement signed in 2015 at the COP21. This agreement aims to limit global warming to less than 2°C and to pursue efforts to limit it to 1.5°C. To meet this objective, the European Union aims to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions by 40% by the year 2030 (compared to 1990).
As a European leader in underground natural gas storage with 21 industrial sites in Europe, Storengy is positioned today as a key player in the energy transition by producing and storing renewable gases (hydrogen, biomethane) and developing geothermal energy solutions.

Evaluating one's CO2 reduction potential in a few clicks
Storengy's experts have developed four simulators enabling industrial actors, towns and territories, as well as farmers to evaluate their CO2 reduction potential through green and local energy solutions:
- Use of low-carbon hydrogen for the industry,
- Green mobility with extended autonomy through hydrogen,
- Building heating and air conditioning with geothermal energy,
- Biomethane production from agricultural waste.
These solutions are little known, yet important levers to reduce one’s carbon footprint beyond the use of intermittent renewable energy (solar and wind) and battery-driven electric mobility.
