Storengy signs a project management assistance contract with Vencorex for engineering and drilling supervision activities

Bois-Colombes, May 25, 2018 – Storengy, one of the world’s leading operators of underground gas storage facilities, has signed a project management assistance contract with Vencorex to carry out engineering and supervision activities for the drilling of Vencorex’s new well at its Hauterives site (Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, France). Vencorex specialises in the manufacture of organic chemical products using salt as a raw material. The new well will serve as a source of salt (extracted using the leaching method) to supply Vencorex’s chemical platforms at Pont de Claix and Jarrie.

Storengy has carried out over 600 drilling operations in France, including two in Hauterives.Storengy has carried out over 600 drilling operations in France, including two in Hauterives.It will draw on its considerable expertise and field experience to assist Vencorex with the new well on the Hauterives site and offer support with starting up the facility.

This new contract marks the latest stage in Storengy’s partnership with Vencorex, which began in connection with the development of Storengy’s Hauterives gas storage facilities near Vencorex’s site.
