Bois-Colombes, 11 July 2018 – Storengy, an innovative partner for a new energy world, supports act4nature, an initiative launched by the French Association of Companies for the Environment (EpE), with the support of their many partners, to mobilize companies to protect, promote and restore biodiversity.

Storengy’s voluntary commitment to the National Biodiversity Strategy (NBS) has been recognized in 2015 by the French ministry for the Environment, Energy and the Sea (ministry for the Ecological and Solidary Transition). As an important player in the ecological transition, Storengy develops its industrial activities under the constant aim to reduce its environmental impact and to sensitise its employees and stakeholders on the preservation of local biodiversity.

By joining act4nature, Storengy confirms its commitment to integrate the production of biodiversity into its overall development strategy, and thus contribute to the objectives set by the international community in this field.

On this basis, in addition to the commitments associated with this approach, Storengy is committed to pursue its action plan initiated within the framework of the National Biodiversity Strategy, while adding the following two individual commitments:

1. Consolidate the consideration of biodiversity in Storengy’s business model:

  • by integrating biodiversity into its new projects at the earliest stages,
  • by playing a key role in multi-partner projects to promote biodiversity,
  • by relying on its Bee to Bio® service offer which is aimed at promoting the biodiversity potential of companies,
  • by extending its approach to its German and British subsidiaries.

2. Better promote internal and external actions carried out in favour of biodiversity:

  • by continuing to offer its employees dedicated biodiversity training,
  • by encouraging more of its industrial sites to organize events promoting biodiversity, such as the “Festival of Nature”,
  • by promoting biodiversity actions carried out with its industrial partners.
All collective and individual commitments made by the partners have been published by act4nature on 10th July (www.act4nature.com)
Storengy has a key part to play in the ecological transition, and its commitment to biodiversity is a voluntary procedure which contributes to the company's performance and the development of its employees’ competencies through innovative and federative projects.
