Our expertise
For the last 70 years, we have developed solid expertise in the field of natural gas storage.

Storengy combines all the expertise necessary for the qualification and development of its sites. The company also controls the marketing and operation of its storage sites for all four technologies available: storage in aquifers, in salt caverns, in depleted reservoirs and in lined rock caverns. OUR UNDERGROUND EXPERTISE, FROM EXPLORATION TO OPERATIONS
Our areas of expertise
We are involved from the outset of a gas storage project in the assessment of a site, the subsoil and the surface.
To qualify potential sites, we need to:
- interpret seismic data,
- study the reservoir engineering,
- drill exploration, control and operation wells and then perform tests on them,
- study the mechanical and thermodynamic behaviour of rocks and caverns.
Our fields of activity
Operations
Our on-site teams operate on drilling sites, study seismic surveys, supervise the sites and perform electrical and geophysical recordings.
Studies and tools
At Storengy, our teams are expert in:
- porous materials, from geology to reservoir engineering,
- salt engineering,
- reservoir simulation,
- salt cavern modelling.
